Educator.  Author.  Advocate

Beth Pandolpho

I've only recently had the courage to contribute my voice to the larger conversation.

In the summer of 2017, I was inspired to teach a social justice series, and then to submit some of my ideas for publication - which, much to my surprise, were accepted.  In early 2018, as a direct result, I was contacted by a book publisher about the possibility of writing a book.  As I began to see myself as a writer, that summer I attended the Moth Teacher Institute where I learned more about the art and transformative power of storytelling.   In 2020, my first book was published.

I'm excited to see where my curiosities and interests lead me next.

Presently, I am an instructional coach, an adjunct professor of introductory reading, and I have taught English at the high school and college level for over twenty years. I am a mother to three children who are my center and greatest joy.

I have a Bachelor's of Arts from the University of Maryland, a Master's of Science in Reading from Adelphi University, and Supervisory Certification from the Rutgers University Graduate School of Education.  I am currently pursuing post graduate work in educational equity and teaching for critical consciousness.

My passion is to engage in work that promotes equity and access for all people - particularly for those who have been historically marginalized or silenced by emotional trauma. It is my hope to create a body of work that serves to educate and inspire.

In so many ways,  I feel like I'm only just beginning.

"If you do not answer the noise and urgency of your gifts, they will turn on you.  Or drag you down with their immense sadness at being abandoned."
